For many economic developers, Twitter is a one way communication tool allowing them to tell the world about their latest achievement - or what they had for lunch that day. Some communities will use this social networking tool to brag to their followers about their local industry and what’s happening in their community. Some active Twitters’ go so far as to post positive comments on a very routine basis in a “Today’s Featured Business” style post. One great example of that can be found in Corinth & Alcorn County, MS or at www.Twitter.com/CorinthAlliance where they frequently brag about their local industry.

For years now EDsuite has been providing an “Interactive Map” for all of our new website development projects. It’s time for a change and that’s exactly what our clients are getting. Economic development organizations need an effective way to create and publish live Google maps on their website. We are not only giving them that ability but also the ability to contribute custom illustrated maps or what I like to call brochure style maps, and also .png or .jpeg style maps created by their city GIS Mapping department.
